Precious Memories 2018

Bethany and the grandchildren stopped by my office to say hello before they left town this morning. They had come to town for Justin's Grandma's 80th birthday. I asked Joseph if he danced with Grandma at her party.
Joseph: No Gigi, she can't dance.
Me: Joseph I am gong to dance with you at my 80th birthday party.
Joseph: Gigi, I will be 32 when you are 80.
Me: You will probably be married and have a family by then but, Joseph, I will dance with you at my 80th birthday party.
Joseph: OK, Gigi (with a little chuckle)
And that is my plan and I'm sticking to it! LOL

Charlie Chuckle: It was bath time at Gigi and Papa's house and Charlie wanted to take a shower. I was washing her hair and body and I put some soap in her hand and the following conversation ensued:
Gigi: Here is some soap, Charlie, now make sure you wash your bottom.
Charlie: What is a bottom?
I pointed and laughing, this was her response.
Charlie: Gigi, mommy calls that a booty!
I stand corrected

Joshua Jargon . . .
Joshua: Gigi, I've figured out why you have long fingernails. You could open things with them.
Gigi: No, Joshua, they would break if I did that. I just think they are pretty.
Josua: Well, they would be prettier if they were orange!
Huh!

Joshua Jargon:
Gigi: Joshua, how old do you think I am?
Joshua: 46?
Gigi: Quite a bit older than that buddy? Who do you think is older, mommy or Gigi?
Joshua: You, Gigi.
Gigi: Have you been helping mommy since daddy has been away, Joshua? You 4 out number mommy
and she needs all the help she can get.
Joshua: Well, mommy out numbers us in age, Gigi!
He's always thinking!

Joshua Jargon:
Gigi and Papa form a circle and pray with the grandchildren before tucking them into bed which gives them each an opportunity to pray. Papa prayed for Baylor Bramble's body to be healed which prompted a plethora of questions afterward.
When I was tucking Joshua (5 years) in bed, he kissed me and asked if we could pray again. He prayed a beautiful prayer for Baylor asking God to heal his body so that it could work again like it was supposed to.
Those spontaneous moments thrill a Gigi's heart!

Joshua's Journey:
We spent a few hours at the Wax home loving on the children this evening. Jonathan (2) was upset that his parents were leaving again but settled down quickly.
Joshua (5) came to me with tears in his eyes and said, "Gigi, I just can't help it. I cry when I see other people crying." This little guy is full of compassion. Could God be raising up a pastor? I love his heart!

Abigail's Antics:
The children had read a book about Martin Lurther so they were allowed to watch the movie about it. We cuddled on the bed and were watching the movie together.
Abigail: "Gigi, Martin Luther's friend is so cute, but not as cute as Papa!"
You can bet your bottom dollar that Papa was beaming from ear to ear!
